The CCS Auction happened on Friday March 7th, with a theme of "A Night on Treasure Island" and was a great success! We are so thankful for all who helped make our CCS Auction successful!
We grossed over $41,000 and our net amount is expected to be almost three times what we have ever netted in past years. We are so thankful for the spirit of generosity that was pervasive throughout the night. One man bought the last 29 raffle tickets (almost $600) then told us to write CCS on them, so that if one of his tickets was chosen, the school would get to keep the big screen plasma TV being raffled off. Another man, whose raffle ticket was drawn told the auctioneer he had a TV and to please auction it off, so that raised another $1000+ for the auction. A couple who couldn't make it to the auction saw fit to give a $750 donation because they couldn't figure out a way to come. The Akiane print "Prince of Peace" which was a $450 value, sold for $3000. The "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" with Mrs. Bittner sold for $2000.
We were blessed over and over again by the generosity of people to give items and their time to bless our school and we are blessed!
