The purpose of a written philosophy is to state the purposes and goals of Cornerstone Christian School in order to enhance unity between all those who labor here, whether staff or volunteers. We recognize that without a Christian philosophy, the school will operate on an unguided or reactionary basis, without predetermined goals, unable to accomplish that for which God has ordained it.

• Providing a distinctively Christian academic environment implies a commitment to excellence both in administration and instruction. Administrative excellence requires fiscal management, personnel selection, and leadership consistent with the school’s mission and statement of faith.

• We believe that education must be God-centered. Knowledge and values should come from a Biblical worldview where facts and principles are consistent with Scripture. Our educational programs and methods of instruction are dependent on a Biblical philosophy of education. As students gain an understanding of God’s Word, they will be able to analyze and evaluate information more accurately and make application to their daily lives.
• We desire to promote high academic standards while helping the students to achieve skills in creative and critical thinking using the best-integrated curriculum available. The objective of our instructional program is to enable the student to pursue the post-secondary education of their choosing, whether in college, university or in vocational training.
