Our Statements of Mission, Vision & Faith

Mission Statement:

Cornerstone Christian School serves Christian families by helping children develop strong academic skills, Biblical thinking, and Christ-like character.

Vision Statement:

Cornerstone Christian School exists to provide a Christ-centered, Bible-based educational program aimed at spiritual growth and academic excellence, which honors God in all aspects. This school is a charitable and non-profit organization.

Faith Statement:

God:
We believe there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30)

Jesus Christ:
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ (John 1:1; 10:33), His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:35), His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15; 7:26), His miracles (John 2:11), His vicarious atoning death (1 Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9), his bodily resurrection (John 11:25; 20:27-28; 1 Corinthians 15:4), His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19), and His personal return in power and glory. (Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11)

Holy Spirit:
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit whose indwelling presence in the Christian enables godly living. (Romans 8:13-14; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19-20; Ephesians 4:30; 5:18)

The Bible:
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God. We believe the Bible to be the final authority for faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Peter 1:21)

Nature of Man:
We believe the Biblical account of creation. Man is the product of an independent and direct creative act of God. We further believe that all things that exist were created by God. (Genesis 1-2; Psalm 33:6-9; Psalm 104; Psalm 148:4-5; John 1:1-3; Colossians 1:16)

Salvation:
We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature; man is justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ; we are saved only by God’s grace and through faith in Christ as Lord. (John 3:16-19; 5:24; 14:6; Romans 3:23; 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5)

Ressurection:
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto resurrection of everlasting life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of everlasting damnation. (Matthew 24:46; John 5:28-29)

Spiritual Unity:
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (John 17:23; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Galatians 3:26-28)
